How does your bid process work?
All our Home Remodeling bids are free.
Once you have made contact with us we will set up an
appointment to view the project.
Larger projects such as additions, kitchens, and
basements may require a second project review with one of our
mechanical subcontractors.
Upon completion of our review a bid will be sent out.
Our bids include
allowances for all selection items allowing you to control the
final cost of your project.
What if we want to do some of the work ourselves?
Both the owners and staff at Two Sons And A
Dad understand the satisfaction and value gained from providing
some or most of the labor on your project.
We are a full service Remodeling Company.
We are happy to provide you with some basic framing or a
complete design build.
Is Two Sons And A Dad insured?
Our insurance carrier is Acuity.
We maintain a level of insurance that well exceeds the
state mandated minimums.
We recommend that you always request a certificate of
insurance when working with contractors or subcontractors.
This is an easy request to process and should be a
warning sign if you ever have a contractor that hesitates to
provide one.
Is Two Sons And A Dad a licensed contractor?
Two Sons And A Dad, has carried an Minnesota
contractor’s license since its establishment in 2001.
We recommend you verify our license and any other
contractor you are considering.
A quick
License Look Up at the
Department of Labor and
Industry will verify the current status of a contractor’s
license and show any infractions the contractor may have
received.
How do you handle payment?
Trust in a client to contractor relation is
one of the first items that need to be established.
We believe that keeping the work to payment ratio
balanced is a key component to doing that.
At contract signing a 10% deposit is required to hold a
spot in our schedule.
For many of our projects two 40% progress payment are
made typically one the first day and one upon completion of the
rough ins.
The final payment of 10% is made upon project completion.
Additional progress payments are added to the middle for
projects over $10,000.00.
Projects under $2,000.00 have varying payment methods
based on the number of days on the project.
